Kevin Ryan Kevin Ryan is a painter living and working in West Norfolk in the east of England. His work is based on the landscape he observes and sketches, and is characterised by the strong use of colour and texture.

Biography

biography Kevin Ryan is to a large extent self-taught. Over several years he worked with John Blockley, who became a great friend and mentor. He also admires the work of Joan Eardley and the vibrant paintings of Barbara Rae.

Having worked for 30 years as a commodity trader he decided to relocate to Norfolk in 1998 to paint full time.

Since then he has exhibited in numerous prestigious galleries in the UK including London (at the RWS, Bankside), Edinburgh, Cambridge, Norwich, Bath, and at the Royal West of England Academy, Bristol

His work has been shown at major London Art Fairs and has been regularly selected for the Eastern Open.

His paintings are in private and corporate collections in this country and also in Australia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand and the United States.
